I've tried to organize my vintage kitchen toy collectibles neatly into categories for the most part. This page is devoted to my Toy Utensils. Click on the small images to view the full size photos.

MISCELLANEOUS

This is a WONDERFUL A&J set that I purchased on eBay.

I've never seen a set with the canisters and was so surprised to see them!

Also, I've never seen the tin pans or the the little biscuit cutter.  And, of course the wonderful little glass measuring cup (that a beater top fits on) and the sifter.  It's all just FANTASTIC.

I FINALLY found a boxed set of the A&J RED Handled Utensils and have posted a new picture.  I also got an AWESOME Dolly Ann boxed set!

Set No. 1 - The color of the box is like the light blue and there are rhymes on the outside (on the sides) of the box.  This box is a bit smaller than the Set No. 1 (below) with the blue tip handles and the rhymes are different.

The insert for the utensils is also different with a sectioned divider for each piece.  The original utensils are the spatula, the egg beater, the meat fork and the slotted spoon.  Thanks to Rhonda for this information!

Set No. 2 in the Original Box

VERY NICE!  This is the light blue box with the rhymes on the outside.

It differs from the set above as to size (a little bigger) and this has the more commonly seen strings held by staples to hold in the utensils.

Set No. 3

Very nice set that I purchased on eBay.  White handled in a GREEN box (first green box I've seen).  This set has an odd spatula / cake lifter.  It has a plastic coated wire type of handle, not a wood handle like the other sets have.  CLICK HERE to view.

Set No. 4

This set is a nice  Blu-tip set with wonderful Weller pieces!  The little mixing bowl is marked Weller, but the beater jar is not.  The beater top and the little cutter did not come in this set -- I added these for display.  This set is also the light blue with rhymes around the outside.

Set No. 5

A cute set that includes the Weller Beater bowl with a beater and a spoon.

Light blue box with little rhymes on the side.

Set No. 6

Cute set with an all metal beater (no wood handle) and brown crock bowl - unmarked.

This is also the light blue box with rhymes.

This set is yellow handled and came with all the pieces you see.  I have more pieces with yellow handles, but I believe these were probably original.

This box is like the first three -- except it is red.  It also has the rhymes.  The end of the box is marked Set No. ___  but no actual number is indicated.

This is such a nice large utensil set.  It has almost everything in it you could possibly want!  This was my first A&J set that I purchased.  It has a glass beater bowl with it.    You may notice the little A&J dishtowel with it -- someone made that and I just thought it looked so cute with this set!

Thank You Jayme!  This set is not numbered and the box has different graphics than the first ones.  Also - the little rhymes are on the inside of the lid!

FINALLY!  I found one of the boxed sets with the red handles. The red handled utensils are hard enough to find and to find one in the original box was great!

This set has the colorful graphics like the one above and the green handled one. This set isn't numbered either.

This is a a nice green handled set.  Again, no number to the set and the same box graphics as the previous one.

I will "assume" that the ones in the NON-numbered boxes and these box graphics came a little later than the first four sets listed.  Also, the rhymes are on the inside of the box lid.

The last "set" is just a blue-tip beater top in the original box!  VERY cute !!  I've also got some very cute child's A&J Mother's Little Helper aprons that someone made that are adorable!   Thanks Jayme -- I'll post a picture soon!
This is an ANN DROCK set of utensils.  The handles are green and not the heavy enamel paint like the A&J sets.  I'm not sure who made these.  You would assume "Androck", but it isn't marked on the box.  The graphics are so cute on the box with "utensil people" on the corners.

This is a DOLLY ANN utensil set.  Soooooo cute with the little painted faces. As you can see, this is a red & yellow set.

I also have some of the smiley face utensils that are green & yellow.  CLICK HERE to see them!  This set was made by Androck. The rolling pin didn't come with this set, I just added it for display.

This is a fantastic large boxed set of the Dolly Ann utensils.  These have the green handles with the yellow painted Dolly Ann face.

This set has an adorable little yellow ware bowl in it and TWO strainers.  A big one and a small one.  This is the first big strainer that I've seen.  CLICK HERE for a close-up.

These are the very few red A&J utensils I have:  One little beater, a rolling pin and a masher.    I also have two "odd" red handled utensils that "look" like A&J with the metal at the handle base.  CLICK HERE to view these.

I have no idea who made these.  If you know, please let me know!

These are the cutest A&J Mother's Little Helper aprons!  Thanks Jayme -- you've done a fantastic job on these!
The beater in this is a Betty Taplin.  Cute colors, but not painted as well as the A&J sets.  I don't know who made these or if they came in a set? Any information would be appreciated.

I have two of the A&J beater tops.  One is blue-tip and the other one is green.  Has anyone seen these in another color?

I have the footed bottom and the Weller bottom and a clear bottom (that came in a boxed set) that these beaters fit on.

** They did come in red too -- I saw one on eBay but just couldn't bid high enough!

I just had to add this other picture.  I just purchased (on eBay, of course) the little handled A&J pitcher and top!  I've looked for this one for years and am so proud to finally have it.
Although I don't think that these Weller pieces were meant as toys, they are such a nice small size they look wonderful on top of the Hoosier Junior.
On the top of my regular size Hoosier I have regular and "child size" graniteware pieces.
I also have a very cute set of child size cream & green graniteware bake set. They are sitting UNDER my little cream & green stove and it is all sitting on top of my BIG cream & green cook stove!
I also have a child size red & white graniteware bake set.  The go nicely with my regular size pieces.

I would love to hear from others that collect children's kitchen items.  I would be interested to know more about the A&J pieces.  Did the gingerbread man and rabbit come in the white? And did A&J have complete sets of red handled utensils. YES!!  I got an answer from an avid A&J collector that said the cutters came in the white and also RED!  OH NO -- the search is on for the small red A&J pieces.  Thank You Jayme for sharing your knowledge!

Please email me if you have any children's A&J  cookie cutters in the red or white I would be interested in purchasing them, or if you would just like to "talk toys" with me!

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my collection.  Everywhere I look I see things that I forgot to take a picture of!  I would also like to see what YOU collect!  Have a web page? Tell me about it so I can share your treasures.  I would love to have more information on the toy playtime kitchen items.
