Please note
that the items displayed here on my
gallery pages are not for sale. My intent
is simply to share my collections of children's
playtime kitchen items with you.
I
still have plenty of kitchen sets for sale on my
other two sites and you can view those by clicking
on the links at the right. ----->
I've tried
to organize my vintage kitchen toy collectibles
neatly into categories for the most part. This
page is devoted to my tea sets as well as some
other vintage toy dishes. Click on

in Japan including Phoenix Bird, Geisha
Girl, Swan on the Lake and a couple of Noritake
and Nippon.

Dutch Children, Bavaria, Happifats, Stick
Figures (or Golliwog), American made Buffalo
China, KTK....my goodness, too many to list.

|
"Flower Band" by Powell and Bishop (England). Beautiful
set I purchased from Sondra Krueger (host of the
TDC Convention 1999). I love the flower-bud
finial on the lids. |
|
Ridgway "Humphrey's Clock" (England)
purchased from Lorraine Punchard. A charming
set - so delicate and wonderful shapes to these
pieces! |
|
|
Charles Allerton & Sons
Staffordshire, England - I'm unsure on the correct
name "Girl Sitting On a Step" or "May Sitting
On a Step" Very pretty set that I purchased
recently on eBay from a very nice dealer. |
|
This is my charming Staffordshire
Red Willow set that I purchased on eBay. |
|
|
This is a gorgeous German
tea set that has applied gold flowers. There
is service for 6 - you can see in the mirror
at the back that the gold applied flowers is
only on one side. This is probably
the prettiest and most elegant set I have. |
|
This is a nice pink luster
German tea set. It has charming pictures on it
with different clowns and animals doing tricks. |
I decided I just
had to have some glassware to go with my tea sets.
Most of these have been purchased on eBay from various Sellers. What a
GREAT place to shop!
|
|
A wonderful Scottish set purchased
from "bettilee" on eBay. Beautiful green
color. Also in the background is a Water
Hen set. |
|
A very pretty little French
set purchased from Doris Lechler on eBay. Such
cute footed pieces! You will note in this
picture and the one above the little cake plate! |
|
|
Some more glassware. There
is a Pennsylvania table set and a pretty Portland
water set. These are trimmed in gold and
I thought they went so well with the gold trimmed
German set. |
|
I purchased a pretty banana
stand at an antique show plus the Lacy Daisy
berry set on eBay. Of course, I had to
add a little fruit to some of these dishes! They
display so nicely! |
|
|
This is a different banana
stand or fruit dish. You can tell that
it is a "toy" size if you compare it to the pieces
next to it. Very cute, and if you know
anything about it please let me know! |
|
Click the thumbnail at the
left to view a picture of the dish with no fruit
-- maybe you can tell a little more. |
|
|
And look at these cute little
egg baskets. TWO were purchased recently
from Doris Lechler. A very special friend
of mine sent me the little eggs that are in the
middle one. Thank You Judy! |
|
I also purchased these adorable
little tea cozies from Doris Lechler! They
fit perfect on the little teapot that goes with
this little Japan set. After all, gotta
keep that tea hot! |
Some of these pictures taken
in my kitchen are so dark and hard to see. The
reason -- probably because I've got ALL my windows
blocked with cabinets! Again, if you will click
on the small picture you can get a little better
look!
|
|
Three graniteware tea sets,
White Mountain ice cream freezer and misc. on
top of a cabinet that is full of other items. |
|
Boxed sets of dishes (mostly
Blue Willow) plus little mixers, etc. on top
of a cabinet that is filled with teasets. |
|
|
Here is another look at the
little Flower Pot pieces. These sets are one of my favorites! There
is also a luster utility set plus some older tin
litho canisters.
I also have all of
the Weishar Moon & Stars miniature Water Sets
-- they are so nice and very well made. You
can see a Milkglass set on top of the cabinet.
|
|
|
And this is the other oak cabinet with more
Flower Pot pieces. There is a "new" mini Fiesta
pitcher on the top.
I love to display the
newer pieces with the old. Also a set of
tin litho canisters with stars and a clear
Moon and Stars Water Set.
|
|
|
Two oak Hoosier cabinets,
one small white cabinet, mixers, bowls, etc.
Plus small canister sets and luster Flower Pot
pieces. Lots of goodies! |
|
Set of Cherries canisters
sitting on cute little white cabinet. The
little cabinet has some miniatures just the right
size! |
|
|
Small toaster, electric waffle
iron and coffee pot (both Dover). Brass and graniteware
pans, misc. mixers and toys. Can you believe
the electric toys actually got hot? |
|
Pastry table (MIB), Wolverine
Tin Hoosier (MIB), Wolverine Tin Litho Stove,
Little Lady electric stove plus other goodies. |
|
|
A green water set and on either
side Little Deb water sets with the tin litho
glass holders and the pitchers. |
|
I have an Akro Agate water
set and a small Chiquita set. |
|
|
More little stoves and pots & pans,
mixers, graniteware sets, etc. |
|
Top part of cabinet with tea
sets - Nice German sets, Boxed Made in Japan
sets, Japan "Majolica" sets. MIB Swan on
the Lake and the white with gold trim Meito set. Some
of my favorites! |
|
|
This is a very cute little
set. Reminds me of Majolica - but it is
Made in Japan. Lily pads / water lilies / and
little FROGS on top! I have an elephant
set made by the same company / same box etc.
and a partial cottage set made the same. |
|
Bottom part of cabinet with
Pink & Teal Doric & Pansy, Fine Rib,
Delfite, Moderntone, and Pink Cherry Blossom,
etc. All of these are MIB. OOPS --
with the exception of the Pink/Black Little Hostess
-- I really need a black lid! |
|
|
Lots of little aluminum coffee
and tea pots. I just love these little
things. I have about a dozen (or more)
aluminum sets MIB.
How did these sets ever survive
all these years?
Some little girls just weren't
allowed to play with them - or maybe they liked
electric trains better!
|
|
|
Wonderful
Blue Ridge "Daffodil" or "Cynthiana" set and
a "Colonial American" set. These sets are both
American made!
|
|
|
Lovely little English set. This
is "mix-match" - you can see that the cup shapes
are different and the little decal is different. But,
they are all marked exactly the same with "Made
in Japan" stamped in green. |
|
|
Cabinet
with some plastic sets (Russell Wright, Banner)
and some boxed sets of aluminum bake sets. Plus
a couple of dolls!
I have a beautiful "Rita
Walker" doll (about 30" tall) made by the Paris
Doll Co. and a cute "Winnie Walker" made by Advance
Doll Co. (Both hard plastic 50's) Also
an Effanbee baby doll in her original case and
a few small composition baby dolls.
|
|
|
My
old primitive pie safe. It has some small
pottery and yellow ware bowls on the top. On
the top half I have Glasbake, Fire King, Pyrex
and Fry toy bake sets in the box plus some other
boxed bake sets. On the bottom half lots
more boxed bake sets.
|
|
Lower
part of the pie safe - boxed bake sets and a
wonderful Wolverine boxed set of Strawberry canisters
and baking items! I also have the "Cherries", "Stars",
and "Dutch" tin canister sets made by Wolverine. |
|
|
This
is a clearer picture of the small yellow ware
bowls. I don't know if these were made
specially for children, but I have seen them
in boxed sets. |
|
|
Calumet
Advertising graniteware table - original wood
legs.
On top is an Ann Drock green
utensil set and a display for toy rolling pins.
|
| I
would love to hear from others that collect
children's kitchen items. I hope you
have enjoyed looking at my collection. Everywhere
I look I see things that I forgot to take a
picture of! I would also like to see
what YOU collect! Have a web page? Tell
me about it so I can share your treasures. I
would love to have more information on the
toy playtime kitchen items. |
