Vintage Toy Kitchens

Please note that the items displayed here in my gallery pages are not for sale. My intent is simply to share my collections of children's playtime kitchen items with you.

I still have plenty of kitchen sets for sale on my other two sites and you can view those by clicking on the links at the top. I've tried to organize my vintage kitchen toy collectibles neatly into categories for the most part.

At right: This is my new cabinet (the one on the right).  Not marked, but it sure is a cutie!

I purchased this wonderful Sunbeam Toy Mixmaster on eBay in January 2000. Isn't it wonderful with the small Jadite bowls? It's electric just like Mom's !! Made in the thirties and absolutely gorgeous!

The "mayonnaise maker" is like the reamer bowl on the regular size mixers. But, it does not have the hole in the top for the reamer to fit down in.

On the left is the wonderful jadite mayonnaise maker bowl that I finally located for it. The picture on the right shows it next to another toy mixer sitting on top of my child size Hoosier.

The motors in these little mixers were not strong enough to be able to use as a juicer. The "spout" on the mayonnaise maker bowl was used to drop oil down into the bottom bowl while making mayonnaise! I wouldn't have known any of this if I didn't get the original instructions with the toy mixer.

This is a WONDERFUL A & J set that I purchased on eBay. I've never seen a set with the canisters and was so surprised to see them!

Also, I've never seen the tin pans or the the little biscuit cutter. And, of course the wonderful little glass measuring cup (that a beater top fits on) and the sifter. It's all just FANTASTIC.

I FINALLY found a boxed set of the A&J RED Handled Utensils and have posted a new picture.

I also got an AWESOME Dolly Ann boxed set! I have several boxed sets of A&J utensils and kitchenware, You can CLICK HERE to go directly to the Toy Utensils page. Keep in mind....you will be bypassing lots of goodies if you don't browse through everything!

I believe, by the looks of the graphics on the box, it is an older one made by Mirro Aluminum. The Rabbit and Chicken cutters are very unusual and not seen often. They are aluminum and have red wood handles.

And **the great part** it has a wonderful little yellow ware bowl in it! ABSOLUTELY fantastic !! I have MANY boxed sets of Mirro aluminum dishes and you can click on the link above to view them.

It always amazes me to find so many different sets made by Mirror!

Left: This is a wonderful Hoosier Juvenile (stamped on bottom) with the original green paint (stamped Tu-Tone Green on the back) and original stencils. It's a great place to show-off my collectibles!

And look at the great little White Mountain Jr. Ice Cream Freezer. I also have some very nice children's tea sets; some are German, French, English, some made in Japan and in the United States.

Right: I have added so many nice items to my collection and finally had the time to arrange everything in my cabinets. My husband helped me and added new shelves and lighting for me. I have FIVE different MIB Moderntone Little Hostess sets; MIB Doric & Pansy in Teal and Pink; MIB Cherry Blossom in Delfite and Pink; Pink Homespun. These are two cabinets with my tea sets in them. And just since I posted these I have had to buy yet another cabinet to display my dearly loved sets!

I have 19 grandchildren (13 girls), (wow) so I try to keep things that are breakable in cabinets. And YES - they do get to play with Granny's Toys! They get "almost" as much enjoyment from them as I do!

I just love the depression dish sets that were "just like mom's"! I also love the A&J utensil sets, especially the ones that were combined with the Weller pieces. I have four boxed sets of the A&J / Weller. I also like children's cookbooks. Oh well.....the list goes on! I just like any little kitchen item that was made for the little cook.

I would love to hear about your collection too -- and even see pictures. One of the fun things about collecting is meeting so many nice people and sharing the joy in our treasures.
